Salt slag Plant shipped

November 18. We are please to have shipped a salt slag plant to a customer in Europe -

The first of many!

Continental adventure

Septmber 18. The team are back after spending several months on the continent and having successfully completed a remediation project on a salt slag landfill from the 1980's.

Another milestone!

Dross plant commissioned

Aug 2017 - We are pleased to announce that our first dross improvement plant is commissioned and working in Europe. This new technology is a milestone in improving the operational efficiency for secondary aluminium smelters who are melting drosses.

WELCOME Nick Lofthouse

Jan 17 - We are pleased to welcome Nick Lofthouse to the team. An experienced project manager and chemist by profession, Nick is also a specialist in solving waste management problems and has a track record of developing solutions to deal with difficult to treat waste streams. Nick commented:

Ultromex wins grant project to develop SPL refractory lining process

Dec 16 - Our process to recycle spent pot linings is a major break through. Innovate UK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board) has recognized the importance of the work we are doing in this area and awarded us a grant under the Open Call to help us bring this exciting new technology to market.

We’ve Moved!

Jan 16 - After outgrowing our previous premises we are pleased to announce that we have moved to our new base at Mersey Wharf. Nigel Seddon, CEO commented:

“….This is a great move for Ultromex and will allow us to develop our technologies and business to the next level. In addition to new offices and a dedicated factory unit we now have our own laboratories and analytical facilities. Exciting times lie ahead!”
